SpamProtect.me Terms of Use
Last updated: May 21, 2025
Welcome to SpamProtect.me! By using our services, you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
1. Service Description
SpamProtect.me is a paid service currently in beta that functions as an email filter via MX entry, intercepting messages before they reach your destination server. Our goal is to help users reduce the volume of spam and threats arriving in their inboxes.
2. Beta Phase
The service is available free of charge during the beta phase. At this stage, SpamProtect.me may experience instabilities, interruptions, or changes without prior notice. We do not guarantee service availability, email delivery, or filter effectiveness.
3. User Responsibility
By using SpamProtect.me, you agree to:
Not use the service for unlawful purposes or to bypass spam filters on third-party domains.
Ensure that the domains you add are owned by you or that you have authorization to manage their MX records.
Monitor your emails and properly configure your destination mail server.
4. Limitations and Disclaimer
During the beta phase, SpamProtect.me is not responsible for email delivery failures, lost messages, false positives, or false negatives.
The service is provided “as is,” without any express or implied warranties.
There is no SLA (Service Level Agreement) during the beta phase.
5. Data Collection
We may collect minimal information for technical and statistical purposes, such as IP addresses, domains in use, email volume, and spam patterns. No email content is permanently stored.
6. Termination or Changes
We reserve the right to:
Modify or discontinue the service at any time.
Block access to users who violate these terms.
Update these terms without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon publication.
7. Data Retention
At SpamProtect.me, we take data privacy and security very seriously. Our system does not store the content of delivered or rejected emails. Message handling follows the guidelines below:
Successfully delivered emails: These are processed and forwarded directly to the destination server. Once delivered, the content is immediately discarded.
Rejected emails: Messages that are blocked based on filtering policies are also discarded immediately after rejection.
Quarantined emails: Only in these cases is the message content temporarily stored, for a maximum of 14 days. During this period, the recipient may review the quarantine to release or permanently delete messages.
Additionally, we maintain email logs for purposes of auditing, security, and technical support. These logs include:
Sender email address
Recipient email address
Technical delivery data (e.g., timestamps and SMTP status codes)
These logs do not contain message content and are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are permanently deleted.
All data processing and storage operations are carried out exclusively on servers located in the United States, in compliance with applicable local data protection laws.
